Every Thari piece begins with the art of the loom and the careful selection of threads. Because we use natural fibers, artisanal techniques, and chemical-free dyes, your items require a little extra love to keep them looking beautiful for years to come.

Here is everything you need to know about caring for your handcrafted goods.

The Art of Handcraft

Your product was crafted by hand using traditional techniques. Because of the pure, natural fibers and artisan dyes we use, you may notice slight variations in the color or the weave. These are not flaws—they are the beautiful, natural signatures of the human hands that made them, making your piece entirely unique.

A Note on Natural Dyes

We use pure, chemical-free dyes for a raw and natural finish. Because of this, some color transfer may occur during the first few washes. This is completely normal! To protect your other clothing, we highly recommend washing these items separately.

Washable Pieces

Check the inner label of your item. If it includes washing instructions, please follow these steps carefully:

• Wash: Cold wash only. Always wash delicately and separately from other items.
• What to Avoid: Do not use fabric softeners. Do not bleach, and do not leave the item to soak in water.
• Drying: Do not tumble dry. Instead, line dry in the shade. We recommend draping it over the clothesline with the fabric side facing down (or inside out) to protect the colors from the sun.
• Ironing: Use a low iron setting only if needed.
• Dry Cleaning: Do not dry clean.
• Storage: Make sure the item is thoroughly and completely dry before you wear it again or store it away.

Spot-Clean Only Pieces

Some of our structured items, bags, and more delicate pieces are not designed to be submerged in water. If your label indicates "Spot Clean Only," please follow these guidelines:

• Cleaning: Spot clean only. Use a soft, damp cloth to gently dab away any marks or dirt.
• What to Avoid: Do not wash in a machine or by hand. Do not use bleach.
• Drying & Ironing: Do not tumble dry, and do not iron.
• Dry Cleaning: Do not dry clean.
